Does Turo count as travel for credit card?
Although you won't get insurance coverage, Turo typically codes as travel with most card issuers. Because it codes as travel, you'll want to use a card that earns you the most points on general travel, such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or the American Express® Green Card.
What happens if you damage a Turo car?
If your guest reports damage to your vehicle, we'll email you a damage notification. If the damage to your vehicle exposes a safety risk or renders it inoperable, we'll restrict your vehicle making it unavailable for guests to book. Once you've had the damage repaired, you can contact us to remove the restriction.
What happens if you get in an accident while using Turo?
If you have an accident as a Turo renter, you must report the accident immediately – at least within 24 hours of the trip's end or date of the incident. You must also file a police report and provide the report number to Turo. If you don't, you may not be eligible for compensation.

No, you most likely will NOT get rental car coverage with Chase Sapphire credit cards because Turo is not considered (by Chase) to be a rental agency and instead is viewed as a peer to peer car service.

To earn 10X miles on Turo purchases, you must pay for an eligible purchase with a Capital One Venture X card. To earn 5X miles on Turo purchases, you must pay for an eligible purchase with a Capital One Venture card. Eligible purchases include car sharing reservations, applicable taxes, and fees.

If you're flying and then driving consider a Turo rental for a road trip for this added flexibility. If you'll be taking a longer trip ask the host to have the vehicle serviced before your booking. We loved using a Turo rental for our two-week road trip through the national parks.

Providing that you've complied with Turo's Terms of Service, the most you'd ever have to pay out of pocket is the maximum on the plan you chose. If there's no balance due or if the amount due is less than the amount of any deposits we've charged you, we'll refund the remaining deposit amount.

What damages does Turo cover?
Wear and tear is damage occurring from the normal use of your vehicle. Only the 60 plan includes exterior wear and tear reimbursement, including dings, dents, cracks, or scratches to the exterior body of the vehicle that are three inches in diameter or less.

You could sue Turo if the owner lied about the defects present on a car and you were involved in an accident because the pre-existing damage. You may also be able to sue if there are warrants for the car and you are arrested or left stranded because of a repossession.
How do I dispute a damage claim on Turo?
